     Replacing a Burned-Out Double-Feed Sensor on a VAC-100a

Sometimes when you start up your collator tower, the screen might show a scribble mark on a bin. This could mean that the sensor at that bin is dirty, or burned out and needs replacing.

If it's simply dirty, you can either clean it with the brush supplied, or use some compressed air. If it's burned out, though, you'll need to replace it.

    Materials Needed:

    • 3mm Allen wrench

    • Flathead screwdriver

    • Phillips-head screwdriver

    Steps:

    1. Use the Allen wrench to loosen the screws at the top of the tower's back panel.

    2. Disconnect the wires to the double-feed sensor and undo the white clip.

    3. Remove the screw on the sensor using the Phillips-head screwdriver.

    4. Place the flathead screwdriver on top of the belt, but underneath the motor, and gently press down enough to pull the sensor out by its wires.

    5. Replace the old sensor with the new one and tighten the screw.

    6. Twist the wires, replace them in the white clip and reconnect them.

    7. Replace the back panel and tighten the 2 screws at the top using the Allen wrench.

Congratulations! You've successfully replaced the double-feed sensor!
